By: Hyacinth Mascarenhas

Minimalist elegance meets hospitality only at the Armani Hotel Dubai, the world’s first hotel designed and developed by renowned designer Giorgio Armani. Choosing the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa, as its platform, Armani certainly brings sophistication to life completely and in style.

The hotel occupies 15 of first 39 floors of the Burj Khalifa, and houses 160 rooms as well as 150 additional rooms located in the Armani Residence, where people can permanently establish their new Armani-designed lifestyles.

Every detail of this hotel is personally selected by the maestro himself, and epitomizes excellence, sophistication and hospitality.

Guests are gently pulled into a world of simple sophistication with its elegantly sober colors scheme, clear-cut lines, and carefully selected textures that gently whisper atmosphere of peace and serenity. Guided by the unique form of the tower itself, its curved walls are adorned with the finest fabrics and handmade leather from Florence to capture the essence of Armani’s understated beauty. The floors are covered with special Japanese Tatami with bathrooms featuring Brazilian bamboo marble.

The Italian-style warm atmosphere is stream-lined with Eramosa stone flooring; the seamlessly blended combination of natural light and signature Armani style symbolizes the path of the modernism and satisfaction.

Nothing spells design and uniqueness, however, than Armani’s handpicked furniture. All living spaces include specially-made Armani Casa pieces with oak tables covered with a fine liquid metal finish. Every detail bears the symbol of Armani, and exudes a sense of confidence and timelessness.

The guests are also treated to three retail outlets that allowing guests to indulge in their favorite Armani classics.

Artfully delectable Italian sweets are offered in Armani Dolci, including chocolates made in Piemonte, spreads, honey and preserves made in the heart of Sicily, and feather-light biscotti, praline-coated almonds and fine tea carefully wrapped and stamped with the signature of Armani’s impeccable taste.

Armani Fiori offers floral arrangements that mirror his idea of simple shapes and natural lines.

Nothing, however, compares to the classic fashion pieces created by the fashion tycoon including some of his most limited pieces. At Armani Galleria guests are given the prime opportunity to own pieces from Armani’s Privé collection, including a variety of accessories and perfumes.

The Armani/Pavillion set at the bottom of the Burj Khalifa gives a brilliant view of the world’s tallest dancing fountains,  The Dubai Fountain, and an exclusive ticket to view some of Dubai’s most ambitious successes.

Fashion icon Giorgio Armani paired with Emaar Properties, the largest property developer in Dubai, joined together as the perfect power couple, soaring over Dubai’s growing skyline, to create hospitality’s definition of fashion, style and design. Emaar Properties has also agreed to launch additional hotels and residences in Dubai and other significant cities around the world.
