Eid is here!

Taking place across the world in the next few days, Muslims who participated in the 29 days of fasting during Ramadan will celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr signaling the end of the Holy Month of Ramadan with loved ones after the sighting of the new moon.

Over the last month, we have seen agencies and corporations dole out millions for primetime Ramadan ads to get people talking about them, from catchy tunes and clever one-liners to emotionally-driven tearjerkers,

“There’s something strangely satisfying about watching a commercial that makes you feel something (other than the urge for your TV show to come back on),” writes Mashable’s Laura Vitto. Several companies took the feel-good route to create some of the most memorable ads that aim to warm our hearts, get people talking and even raise awareness to educate, inspire and motivate large issues in a simple yet powerful way.

We rounded up some of our favorite ads from the Holy Month that went beyond simply marketing a product but sought to potentially spur positive action.

Spoiler alert: You may need a tissue or two for some of them.

1. In an effort to unify a region filled with more than 200 nationalities, Coca-Cola launched this heart-warming ad together with label-free cans with the words: “Labels are for cans, not for people.

2. Leading mobile telecom company Zain Group launched this beautiful commercial shot in a refugee camp in Jordan. Featuring several renowned artists from around the Middle East to show solidarity for displaced refugee children, this ad speaks about hope in dire situations and “the search for happiness even in times of struggle.”

3. Dairy company Almarai released this wordless Ramadan commercial with a beautifully powerful message that showcase the touching simplicity of random acts of kindness to brighten someone else’s entire day and create change in our own way.

4. Mobinil also launched a beautiful Ramadan ad about random, anonymous acts of kindness being shared across social media using the hashtag #فاعل_خير (Fa3el Kheir) and encouraging people to do the same in their own community.
